We are thrilled to announce that our Learn to Swim Program is back for the second year at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in Acton, MA! This year, we are offering multiple 6-week sessions throughout the school year, providing ample opportunities for your child to build and enhance their swimming skills.

Program Offerings & Schedule:

Session Dates: Sundays starting September 15th- October 20th
Time: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Private & Semi-Private Lessons

  • 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM

  • 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM

  • 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM

  • 11:15 AM - 11:45 AM

  • 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Pricing:

  • Private Lessons: $60 per session

  • Semi-Private Lessons: $40 per person per session

Parent and Child Lessons

  • 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM
    Water Babies (Ages 6 Months - 1 Year): A fun and relaxed aquatic experience focusing on safety and development through games and songs.
    Super Tots (Ages 1-3 Years): Progress from initial water exposure to Independent  swimming skills.

Preschool Lessons (Ages 3-5 Years)

  • 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM

  • 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM

  • 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM
    Basic swim skills with support and flotation devices. Focus on submersion, back float, and swimming on front and back.

Youth Lessons (Ages 5-14 Years)

Level 1: Beginner - Water Acclimation

  • 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM

  • 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM

  • 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM
    Objective: Build basic water comfort and essential swim skills.

    • Introduction to water safety and basic skills

    • Floating on front and back with support

    • Simple kicking and arm movements

    • Comfort with putting face in water and blowing bubbles

Level 2: Novice - Stroke Introduction

  • 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM

  • 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM

  • 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM
    Objective: Swimmers can swim 10 feet on front and back without flotation.

    • Front and back float without assistance

    • Basic freestyle with rhythmic breathing

    • Backstroke with basic arm and kick coordination

    • Introduction to gliding and submersion

Level 3: Intermediate - Stroke Improvement

  • 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM

  • 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM

  • 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM
    Objective: Swimmers can swim 15 feet of freestyle with rotary breathing and backstroke.

    • Improved freestyle with rotary breathing

    • Backstroke with refined technique

    • Introduction to basic breaststroke and butterfly movements

    • Development of body position and stroke efficiency

Level 4: Proficient - Stroke Refinement

  • 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM

  • 10:45 AM - 11:30 AM
    Objective: Swimmers can swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke; introduction to breaststroke and butterfly.

    • Refined freestyle and backstroke techniques

    • Introduction to breaststroke and butterfly with basic coordination

    • Emphasis on improving stroke length and breathing technique

    • Introduction to flip turns and basic starts

Levels 5-6: Advanced - Intro to Competitive Swimming

  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
    Objective: Swimmers can swim 50 yards of freestyle, backstroke, and 25 yards of butterfly and breaststroke; focus on competitive swimming techniques.

    • Mastery of all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly)

    • Emphasis on Individual Medley (IM) and endurance training

    • Advanced techniques for starts, turns, and finishes

    • Development of race strategies and pacing
